THE Duchess of Sussex showed off her fabulous new curls as she joined Prince Harry and the Queen at a star-studded event at Buckingham Palace.

And Meghan Markle's new do, unveiled at the Young Leaders awards bash in the palace ballroom, is already drawing comparisons to her stylish sister-in-law Kate Middleton.

A beaming Meghan and Prince Harry were accompanying Her Royal Highness at the annual ceremony which champions inspirational young people from across the Commonwealth.

The Duchess of Sussex looked impeccably stylish in a blush Prada skirt suit, complete with Prada clutch and Aquazurra black heels.

This year's honourees are being praised for helping improve the lives of those suffering from problems including poverty, gender equality and climate change.

Other superstars attending the event included model Neelam Gill, boxer Nicola Adams and former footballer David Beckham.

Meghan looked utterly beautiful in a chic Prada belted suit with double-breasted button detail, teamed with black court heels - believed to be Aquazzura's £490 Deneuve Pumps and a Prada leather clutch worth £1,280.

It was the second time Meghan has teamed up with the Queen, having accompanied her to a children's musical performance in Cheshire earlier this month.

The Duchess appeared in good spirits for her first royal engagement without Prince Harry by her side, even sharing a giggle with the Queen.

Meghan, who left TV series Suits, looked relaxed as she was shown the ropes by the 92-year-old monarch in the visit to Cheshire.

The day proved to be a crash course in British culture for the American, who admitted the trip was her first time to the North of England.

Following in the Queen's footsteps as she greeted local dignitaries, Meghan told them: "I’m very happy to be here."

The royals were met with wild cheering and applause from hundreds of flag waving schoolchildren as Meghan took to her new role effortlessly.

The Duchess of Sussex looked regal in a neutral dress by Givenchy paired with black accessories, standing demurely behind her new grandmother-in-law.

Her pearl and diamond earrings were a gift from the Queen - although it is not known exactly when the jewellery was gifted to Meghan.

It took the Duchess of Cambridge ten months after her marriage to Prince William to attend a similar event.

But trouble was brewing today when her father Thomas blasted the Queen for agreeing to meet "arrogant and insensitive" Donald Trump before him.

Worried that the Royal Family have put him in the "penalty box", he told TMZ: "She has no excuse not to meet me, I’m nowhere near as bad."

The Mexico-based dad's extraordinary outburst is sure to cloud his car crash relationship with the Royal Family even further.

The apparent feud began with his staged paparazzi pictures scandal and last week's bombshell TV interview.

He feared the Queen froze him out after he reportedly raked in £7,500 speaking to Good Morning Britain hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
